February 4 is World Cancer Day, an international day to raise awareness of cancer and to encourage its prevention, detection and treatment.
In honor of this important observance, we want to highlight some benefits resources available to help our employees and their family members who are facing cancer.
Health Pro Connection
Health Pro Connection can help you find in-network cancer specialists, access specialty care centers and assist with any billing questions or issues you may have.
Cancer Resources through Your Medical Plan
If you are enrolled in an AECOM medical plan, reach out to your insurance carrier to learn about the cancer programs and resources available to you as part of your coverage, such as expert medical advice and second opinions.
Leaves of Absence and Disability Benefits
See your options for taking time away to care for yourself and your loved ones and learn about AECOM’s disability benefits program.
Emotional Support
Our GuidanceResources Employee Assistance Program (EAP) offers a variety of resources to help you prevent cancer, cope with a cancer diagnosis physically and emotionally, and endure cancer care and treatment. Log in to the GuidanceResources website (register with Company Web ID: AECOM) and search “cancer.”
On-demand mental health support through Koa Care 360 provides free access to programs and guidance to help you manage stress, calm your body and relax your mind.
If you need someone to talk to, you can also connect with a Global Mental Health Ally, a specially trained AECOM colleague, for mental health support.
Supplemental Insurance Benefits
To supplement your medical coverage, AECOM offers critical illness insurance and hospital indemnity insurance, which provide additional financial assistance in the event of a cancer diagnosis.
