Register for The Invitational Team Steps Challenge, April 12 – April 25, and team up with your colleagues and motivate each other as you get your steps in.
For automatic steps tracking, sync a compatible device/app (e.g., Apple Health, Google Fit and others). Log in to the WebMD platform, click on the menu at the top right of the homepage, and then select “Sync Devices and Apps” to confirm compatibility with your specific device or app. During the challenge, log in weekly to make sure your device/app is syncing, so you can get credit for all your steps!
How to register and create/join a team
To participate, register on the U.S. Well-Being platform through WebMD by April 25. Log in, select “The Invitational” in the home page banner and follow the prompts to register. (If this is your first time using the U.S. Well-Being platform through WebMD, you’ll need to create your WebMD account first and then register for challenge.)
When you register for the challenge, you’ll be prompted to create or join a team of five people, which can include your spouse/domestic partner and U.S. colleagues at AECOM and their spouses/domestic partners.
- To invite others to your team, from the challenge page, send them an invite using the same email address they used to create their WebMD account, which could be a personal e-mail address (check with them first to confirm which email address they used).
- You can also let the platform randomly assign you to a team of AECOM colleagues.
How to complete the challenge
The Invitational is a five-week challenge, starting April 26 and ending May 30. Each week your team will be matched up against another team to see who can get the most collective steps in that week. To keep it fair, comparable teams are matched up based on their previous week’s steps performance.
You can track your steps manually, online or through WebMD’s Wellness At Your Side app, or you can sync a fitness device/app for automatic steps tracking. Log in to record your steps (or confirm that your device/app is syncing properly) by the end of each weekly round (11:59 p.m. PST Tuesdays).
To complete the challenge, record your steps for at least 5 days a week for 4 out of 5 weeks.
Rewards
If you complete the challenge, you’ll earn 20 points toward U.S. Well-Being rewards, including a credit on your 2024 AECOM medical plan contributions.
