AECOM is committed to supporting our employees with benefits that make a positive impact and helping employees and their families be well through better work life balance. Earlier this year, AECOM made some enhancements to the U.S. leave of absence benefits to make it even easier for you to take time off to care for yourself and your family, supporting your emotional and financial well-being during these important times in your life.
These enhancements are for leaves of absence that start on or after January 1, 2023.
Paid parental leave
Welcoming a child to the family, through birth, adoption, or foster care placement, is a special and memorable part of life, and we want to help you in making the most of this special time.
To provide more time for parents and children to bond in those precious early months, our paid parental leave benefit increased from two weeks to four weeks.
See the Parental Leave Checklist and FAQs for details.
Short-term disability (STD) benefit
Disability benefits replace a portion of your income if you are unable to work due to a pregnancy and/or childbirth, illness or non-work-related injury.
AECOM’s short-term disability (STD) benefit increased from 66.67% to 100% of base pay for the first 6 weeks after the 7-day elimination period. Also, there is no longer a weekly maximum benefit.
STD coverage continues to be fully paid for by AECOM and is available to you automatically (you don’t need to enroll in it). If you want an income replacement benefit beyond the 26 weeks provided by the STD coverage, you can enroll in long-term disability (LTD) coverage during the annual Benefits Open Enrollment period.
See the Leave of Absence and Disability Guide for details.
